Earlier this month, Lakers owner Dr. Jerry Buss hosted a celebrity poker tournament at the Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens for the benefit of the Smile Train, the world's largest cleft charity. For a donation of $250, fans played poker with Lakers celebrity players, including Dr. Buss and Spero Dedes. Each player had a chance to win a share of over $25,000 in prizes. The event was a huge success, raising over $25,000 for the charity. According to the Smile Train, this will help to provide surgeries for 100 children. First place winner was John Hennigan, runner up was actress Shannon Elizabeth. Both won dinner with Dr. Buss at an upcoming Lakers game. All players received a Lakers goodie bag and a delicious buffet provided by the Bike.
